Debuting several years ago at a European trade show, the texture is actual raised and recessed.  The process happens at the slicer, where serrated knives and pressure bars are used as the veneer is being sliced.

In this example, we see a character marked oak with horizontal texture.  The finish is a custom white wash, which has been applied and then wiped off.  The raised and recessed areas of the texture are what illustrate the uniqueness of this product.

The veneer leaves are also randomly matched.  Samples of this may or may not be in our library for immediate distribution, but can be produced.  Please inquire.
