General Information:

Buttonwood is a North American species found from the Appalachian Mountain region through the Ohio Valley and down into the Mississippi River Valley.

We’ve chosen this species as another to custom dye, because the logs yield a substantial amount of sequential veneer and because of the interesting visual quality.

The species is known for its variety of flake figuring, as illustrated in the photos. The logs can be flat sliced or true quarter sliced.
We produce primarily quartered because the flake is much stronger in appearance that way.

We appreciate your visit and hope to hear from you soon!
