General Information:
Two different growing regions, East India for the species dalbergioides and Africa for santalinoides.
Both of which yield deep red, closed pore veneers. When sliced on the true quarter, the veneer yields a beautiful ribbon stripe with some iridescent quality to it. Some logs will also develop a distinct beeswing figure, though rare.
