General Information:
There are a couple different kinds of woods we know as “Lacewood”.
What most call Louro Faia (another trade name) – grows in the Northern and Central parts of South America. Roupola brasiliensis and montana. But there is also “Silky Oak” which grows in the mountainous, coastal ranges of Queensland Australia, Carduellia sublimis.
This example is more than likely from the latter – Queensland. It is said the flake size produced from logs in that region are more readily available with smaller sized flake. On the other hand, those logs are few and far between.
We appreciate your visit and hope to hear from you soon!
