General Information:
This species of Mahogany grows from Central America into the northern countries of South America. It adopted name Honduras Mahogany because many years ago, some of the finest timber came out of British Honduras and the surrounding area.
Logs are either produced flat sliced or quarter sliced, and produce varying grain patterns as well as figure types over the range of the species.
African, Cuban and Honduras Mahogany are considered to be the three true Mahoganies, though many other species have erroneously shared Mahogany’s glory.
