General Information:
Anigre, which comes from Africa, particularly the Ivory Coast began to gain in popularity during the early 1980’s. It was sought after for it’s “fiddleback” figure.
This example shown is a more readily available figure type today, and is what we call a broken figure, still with that “fiddleback” quality, but a little more pronounced than what we’ve called “mild figure.” It still shows a ribbon stripe under the cross fire or broken fiddleback.
